About the Noticing Society

A society for people who notice.

The Noticing Society brings together people who find meaning in paying closer attention to the world around them.

We believe that the everyday is full of remarkable things waiting to be noticed. Sometimes they are beautiful. Sometimes they are curious. Sometimes they are easily overlooked. Together they form a growing record of the world as it is experienced by those who choose to look a little more closely.

At the heart of the Society is the Bureau of Noticing, an open archive of everyday observations gathered from people around the world. Anyone is welcome to contribute. Every observation—whether a photograph, a short note or a simple moment of curiosity—helps build a collection celebrating the overlooked, the unexpected and the quietly remarkable.

Alongside the archive, the Bureau releases thoughtfully designed equipment in limited quantities. Each piece is created with function, longevity and careful use in mind, supporting a life spent wandering, observing, collecting and recording.

The Noticing Society exists for anyone who believes the ordinary world is far more interesting than it first appears.
