Hello and welcome.

My name is Alia and I’m the founder of AND ROAM.

We design and handcraft leather goods that drop in small batches.

We believe strongly in the idea that we should buy less, but buy better concep, to help us achieve a more sustainable lifestyle for the future.

With all that’s going on in the world today, I realised that it was so important for me to start making some positive changes in my life that would allow me to reach a more sustainable lifestyle. I fully embraced the importance of recycling, up cycling, reusing and repurposing as a sustainable way forward.

Feeling the weight of the task ahead in my private life, I decided that I would carry this ideology into my working life, so when I decided to start my own business, I knew what my principles were and how they would help me reimagine, guide and shape the design process.

When David Attenborough was born, there were less than 2 billion people in the world. Today, less than a hundred years later, we have officially reached 8 billion and counting. This is a scary future to imagine if we don’t do our ‘sustainable’ bit. No matter how small, every little step in the right direction can amounts to significant change. I realised that if I was going to have a business that produced physical products, it would have to be sustainable and limited in some way. This is why I have chosen to make our products available in small batches, only available at Holly & Co.

Each product we make has been designed to last. We achieve this by making sure you can replace or repair parts if damaged or worn out. Also most of our products are riveted from the inside making them vertically indestructible. This is because there is no stitching that might unravel in time.

I believe there is no point in building a brand, if it can’t help solve a problem. That problem is overconsumption. We help to solve this problem by making our products useful and only available in a limited way, making them with quality materials and making sure they last a very long time.

This is our contribution, for us and for you. A solution that helps you achieve a more sustainable lifestyle by buying less, but buying better, replacing parts not the whole, and buying parts to make the whole.
